Highway 401 Crash Near Kingston Leaves One Dead, 28 Injured
Multiple Tractor Trailers Involved
A series of collisions involving several tractor trailers on Highway 401 near Gardiners Road in Kingston, Ontario have left one person dead and 28 others injured. The westbound lanes of the highway remain closed as of Monday morning.
Police Investigate
According to the South Frontenac OPP, the crashes occurred around 1 a.m. Police are investigating the cause of the collisions, which involved between 30 and 40 vehicles. The eastbound lanes of the highway have since reopened.
